Credit Valley sandstone has been quarried from multiple locations in Ontario for over 100 years. This sedimentary stone, compressed underground for over 400 million years, is known for high durability and being impervious to acid rain and other pollutants. This local stone has been a traditional building product in Southern Ontario and has been used to build some of the most iconic residences and public buildings in Toronto and surrounding area. This neutral colour works well in combination with other building materials like brick, stucco, wood or concrete.
